Artist Spotlight: Hot Delivery

By Peyton Burns

We're catching up with one of our talented artists, Sean, who’s stepping into a new chapter with a fresh alias—Hot Delivery. You might remember him as Sean Sabien, one-half of the OG Vegas duo FlashGang, past openers for mega-DJs like Chris Lake, playing at EDC Las Vegas, Life Is Beautiful, Insomniac Countdown and more. We’re getting all the deets from what inspired the name change and what’s next for him. Let’s get into it!

Hot Delivery came about during a conversation with a friend who suggested a name that better captured his style and vibe. Sean liked the idea and ran with it. The new alias isn’t just a name; it’s a reflection of his ongoing mission to always deliver the heat on the dance floor.

Sean hails from Northern California, but Las Vegas is where he’s really grown up and found his love for the scene. Having spent most of his life in Vegas, the city’s energy and unique culture have heavily influenced his music and artistic journey!

For Sean, the best part about producing music is the sense of peace it brings. It’s a meditative process that allows him to fully immerse himself in the art, which is why he never rushes his projects. To him, music production is more about the journey in which the final masterpiece will manifest.

Sean kicked off his music production journey in 2013, diving right into the creative process! A couple of years later, in 2015, he started performing, bringing his beats from the studio to the stage. What a steady, but wild, ride since then. Each step has added to his growth, bringing him to this new chapter of Hot Delivery.

Of course I had to ask about the possibility of seeing FlashGang back in the flesh! Sean doesn’t rule it out. He hints that it’s a special project close to his heart, and while there’s no set timeline, the epic return of FlashGang is something we might see one day. Vegas fans, keep your fingers crossed!

On a personal level Sean’s day starts with some quality time taking care of his Pomeranian, followed by breakfast and a good workout at the gym. He always finishes his gym session with a light meditation in the sauna, setting the tone for the rest of the day. We dig his style. After that, it’s all about the music—he spends most of his day in the studio. Evenings are for winding down, where he reads a couple of book chapters before diving into his current favorite TV show. Sounds like a productive day to me!

And what brings Sean the most happiness? Besides his Pomeranian and time in the studio? It is making people dance and smile, he says. There’s nothing like the feeling of seeing a crowd vibe to his music, and that energy is what drives him the most.

One of Sean’s struggles in the industry has been dealing with self-doubt, especially when he’s had more belief in others than in himself. Overcoming this has been about learning to trust in his abilities and not letting others’ opinions hold him back.

Sean’s future goals are all about taking his music global (don’t forget about us when you go on tour). He dreams of traveling the world to perform and aims to keep making tracks that not only chart, but are played everywhere. It’s about sharing his sound with as many people as possible and experiencing new places along the way. Me, you, Ibiza? Say less.

Some of his biggest musical influences include PAWSA, Prince, and Playboi Carti. But it doesn’t stop there. He believes that being an artist is more than just having raw talent—it's about having an aura that sets someone apart. According to him, while there are millions of talented people out there, it’s the unique presence and energy of an artist that truly makes them special.

If Sean could collaborate with any artist, it would be Green Velvet. He’s confident that together they’d create an absolute banger and I have to agree! Hiiiii Velvet, this is Peyton. Heard you should make a track with Hot Delivery, Hallelujah!

We all have thought about who in the industry we would rage with. Sean would choose to party with Michael Bibi, especially after his recent victory over a serious condition like cancer. Celebrating such a moment with him would be incredibly meaningful, sharing in the joy of overcoming such a significant challenge. We love you Bibi!

The best advice Sean would give to his younger self is to focus on his own journey rather than comparing himself to others. It’s all about concentrating on personal growth and not getting caught up in what everyone else is doing. This is a common answer from many artists that I interview, and it’s a valuable lesson in the industry. With so many talented people out there sharing this mindset, it teaches us that self-doubt is universal. The key is to immerse yourself fully in your own path and let your unique talents flourish!

Sean’s advice to someone new or young in the industry is to be different and do whatever it takes to stand out. Embracing your unique qualities and setting yourself apart is crucial in a competitive field. I have to agree! “Different” is in and something a lot of listeners are craving.

As for what to expect from Hot Delivery in the future, Sean promises a lot more music on the way. With a growing backlog of tracks, he’s gearing up for a rapid-fire release schedule. He’s incredibly excited about what’s coming next and can’t wait to share it with everyone. Stay tuned and up to date with Sweet Heat and what’s to come!
